Tonight my Kobalt 26 gal air compressor system just went the hell and quit. I should have taken pics of the sparks flying. Now I know people say once the warranty runs out, things fall apart fast but man the 90 free replacement warranty was only up only 5 days ago. So I called Lowes and ask for the tool department and explain what happened. The gentleman working there tells me that seeing how its only 5 days over the replacement he will talk to his manager and see what he can do. 5 min later he’s back on the line and tells me to just bring it back for exchange of a refund. So seeing how this one kicked the bucket as early as it did I just figured ill get my money back and get something better. I was wondering if anybody might be able to recommend something under $500 that is good for over all used not to big and bulky that’s not required to be mounted in a stationery possession. I don’t need anything too big, like for body repair or anything like. I just need something good enough for working out of the house. The tools I am using include ½ impact, ¼ air drill, die grinder, ¼, 3/8 and ½ air ratchets.
